We invite all parents, and caregivers, to practice yoga with their babies in a relaxed, supportive environment while learning to gain, or regain, the strength in their total body.

  • Sundays, 1:30-2:15 PM EDT

  • SPARŚA (1006 Manhattan Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11222)

This slow flowing vinyasa yoga practice focuses on strengthening the abdomen, pelvic floor, arms and lower body. We will also practice restorative poses to help new parents, or caregivers, cope with modified sleep schedules in this exciting, sometimes-challenging new time.

Using interactive, slow-moving postures, the class is ideal for adults and their babies newborn to crawling. Babies are placed on a yoga mat in front of their grown up's mat. We include infant massage, movement and bonding exercises in our sequence that assist the development of your child’s motor skills.

In Baby & Me yoga, we work hard to foster a community that will support and address both the physical and emotional challenges that come with this early stage of parenthood or caregiving. We will set aside a few minutes each class to share our feelings and emotions for the week as they relate to caring for your baby.

Babies newborn until crawling are welcome. Once the child is walking they are welcome in our Toddler Yoga class.
