Make some new pals as you learn about local birds and enjoy a beer at the Brooklyn Brewery. Ok, this isn’t a kid friendly event but it could be a great way to meet up with some other parents! Here are the details:

Come bird as the sun sets behind the Manhattan skyline. After you can attend a free tour of the Brooklyn Brewery and receive a drink voucher. Learn about the connections between birds and beer, while making new connections with other Black Birders. All experience levels welcome!

In collaboration with the organizations Black AF In STEM and NYC Audubon, join the NYS Parks’ New York City team in celebrating Black Birders Week 2023! Let's support budding Black birders, expert Black birders, and all birders and wanna be birders in between!

All programs are free and materials are provided.

Who: Adults. Ages 18 and up.

Where: The Blue Park House at Marsha P. Johnson State Park

90 Kent Ave, Brooklyn, New York

Cross streets – N 8th and Kent Ave

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This program is for adults 18 and over.

  • Those who do not participate in the bird walk will not be allowed to attend the free tours at Brooklyn Brewery.

  • Tickets are required for ALL people attending the event. Please reserve one ticket per individual.

  • If the program is sold out, but you still wish to attend, we encourage you to walk up and see if space is available.

  • In the case of inclement weather, the program may be rescheduled or canceled. Please be sure to check your email a few hours before the program starts.
