Yoga Through Storytelling

  • The Play Lab 33 Nassau Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

Meet our animal friends who lead little yogis through a thirty minute magical adventure, blending movement and storytelling in a way that makes stretching, breathing, and laughing all part of the fun. Join this wild crew to watch your child’s confidence, creativity and listening skills grow.

The class focuses on teaching kindness and sharing, patience and confidence in a group setting. It also helps in developing listening skills, and enhancing fine and gross motor skills through creative activities and social connectedness.

About Shereena

Born and raised in India with a passion for dance and all things movement, I went from being a full time communication and public relations strategist to starting my own Children’s Yoga Through Storytelling program. I began this program to instil the love for yoga and movement in children in a fun and exciting way, whilst teaching essential skills that can be used throughout a child’s life. I attribute some of the most valuable life lessons and skills to my journey as a dancer and yoga teacher, having danced with The Shiamak Davar Dance Company in Mumbai, studied yoga with Eddie Stern in New York City and having taught children at The Village in Edgewater,  Canopy in Williamsburg, Artful Souls and Wellness and Space club in New York.
