Introducing Stephanie

How did you get here?

I first became a mother during the height of the pandemic when parents had little to no in-person support and felt isolation that I'm sure many other parents experienced also. After the birth of my second child, I struggled through severe postpartum depression and enrolled in the day treatment program at The Motherhood Center of NY. Through that experience, I yearned to dedicate myself to supporting women in the perinatal period in some way. This urge inspired the start of my private practice.

What problem are you solving for parents?

When I talk to new parents, a lot of us have aches and pains and either ignore it or accept that it's "normal" and just a part of life. New parents also are just so overwhelmed and too busy to focus on themselves, or don't know what to do about their issues. They may not have time or energy to deal with the logistics of finding a provider, clinic, get childcare or deal with the potential issues of bringing the baby to the appointment. As a certified hand therapist, I bring therapy to you in the comfort of your home. As a certified ergonomic assessment specialist, I also can look at your environment and setup, to see what ways we can make you more comfortable (e.g. where/in what position are you feeding the baby).

What do parents love most about you?

That I can come to their home!

What do you love most about what you do?

I am passionate about supporting new moms and new parents. I love raising awareness about things that parents might otherwise not be educated about, such as how to protect your joints, how you can move better and feel better. I love when clients tell me that they see progress.
