Meet Johanna!

Johanna actively advocates for children of all ages, thriving in environments where she can share, inspire, mentor and transmit knowledge gained from her 18 years of teaching practice and consultancy expertise in New York City schools.

As a nurturing and creative individual, she passionately creates a sense of community and breaks bread with other parents, culminating in the establishment of MamansBK, A passion project with the goal to bring mothers and fathers together, fostering shared experiences and parenthood journeys through coffee meet-ups and gatherings. In her career in Early Childhood & Design Education, Johanna has served as an educator in some of the most renowned schools in New York, including Avenues, Trinity School, and Saint David School. Leveraging her professional background, she orchestrates engaging discussions, frequently inviting experts to contribute to her talks. Currently residing in Brooklyn with her French husband and two children, Johanna fully embraces her Colombian roots, intertwined with her strong connections to Venezuela and Denmark. She strongly believes in the profound benefits of a multicultural upbringing, influencing her approach to education and community-building. Johanna's active commitment is evident in her efforts to foster connections, share knowledge, and celebrate the diverse perspectives inherent in the journey of parenthood.
